Malmö Designer Village WILL BE AN INTEGRAL PART OF THE LOCAL Kävlinge COMMUNITY AND PLANS ARE ALREADY IN PLACE to ensure that IT WILL CONTRIBUTE TO, AND ENHANCE, existing commerce and TOURISM IN THE kommun and the REGION.
Tourism
Malmö Designer Village is already in discussions about partnerships with regional tourist destinations and will also take part in joint promotions.
Malmö Designer Village and the Community will benefit from linked visits to local leisure and tourist attractions including:
– Neighbouring family retail destination, Galleria Center Syd, which attracts 4 million visitors per year.
– The Barsebäck Resort, located within 30 minutes of the scheme.
– The picturesque town of Lund, home to Scandinavia’s largest university which has 41,000 students and is just 15 minutes away.
Fast charging
In addition to providing landscaped areas for rest and relaxation Malmo Designer Village will provide Fast Charging EV points for use by visitors and the community.
Jobs
During construction, Malmö Designer Village will provide circa. 600 jobs in construction and, when it opens, circa. 1500 new jobs in retail, services, and management.
Wellbeing
In addition to areas specifically created to promote the health and wellbeing of visitors, and safe play areas for children and their families, the distinctive shopping streets and landscaped gardens of Malmö Designer Village will play host to a programme of seasonal events for visitors and the local community – events that can be enjoyed either before or after a meal at one of six restaurants and cafes, many of which will feature relaxed al fresco dining.
