Malmö Designer Village at CIFF 2026
In January, Malmö Designer Village had the please to partner with CIFF, Copenhagen’s premier destination for the international fashion industry and one of Europe’s most inspirational trade platform. The partnership reflects a shared vision of supporting fashion and lifestyle brands through future-oriented retail formats that combine premium positioning, catchment, accessibility and strong consumer experiences.
Industry Perspectives & Future Retail Vision at CIFF
As part of the annual opening breakfast, CIFF welcomed Malmö Designer Village, alongside other partners, to introduce its vision and share the ambition of building a collaborative platform for brands, designers, buyers, and creatives. During the presentation, Pascal Barboni, Deputy General Director Development at FREY, emphasized:
‘Retail destinations and premium outlets in particular should not be built as transactional machines — they should be conceived as long-term platforms that respect brand value, creative integrity, and the different stages of a brand’s lifecycle.’
